This week, reporter Steve Kotchko interviews Ray Noonan, an official at Connecticut Voices for Children.  Noonan explains a new analysis of census data that shows childhood poverty and the lack of health insurance for families actually are trending downward in Connecticut while the state’s median household income remained flat.  Noonan says despite some progress, changes in the state budget and federal policies still pose great risks for the wellbeing of children and families in Connecticut.
